Created in 1999, Agilent Technologies is a leading provider of analytical solutions for a range of applications in the semiconductor industry, particularly inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Agilent offer analytical instrumentation for impurities testing in semiconductor manufacturing. The company’s products include devices to measure heavy metals and inorganic impurities in chemicals and ultrapure water, provide comprehensive particle characterization, and vacuum and leak detection. Agilent also offers environmental monitoring of wastewater streams to facilitate compliance with environmental health and safety regulations. Agilent previously had its own semiconductor chip manufacturing division, which was sold to form Avago Technologies in 2005.
