Aqua Membranes has developed a patented 3D-printed spacer technology for water filtration in reverse osmosis (RO) membranes. Within the microelectronics industry, this technology remediates the problem of salt saturation on the membrane surface in RO systems, as the spacer is not limited by salt build-up.

Aqua Membranes has performed a pilot for Micron Technology. The pilot was set up with skids receiving wastewater from the fab, and the permeate was recycled back into the front end of the ultrapure water system.
