In this presentation, a practical investigation of electrochemistry to remove and recover copper from different semiconductor wastewater sources is presented. Electrochemistry stands out for its selectivity and efficiency in removing copper to EPA/NPDES discharge compliance from different wastewater sources. The electrochemical cell is able to handle a broad range of feed copper from a few ppm to > 10,000 ppm while still achieving discharge compliance and producing high purity copper sheets as a value add product.
