Traditional treatment methods involving chemicals and ion exchange often fail to recover the inherent value of copper, instead sending it to landfills. In response to this challenge, an innovative electrochemical reactor design that offers a novel approach to recovering copper from dilute and complex wastewater streams was developed. This method yields high-purity copper sheets, enabling its reintegration into the manufacturing process. Notably, the automated nature of this electrochemical process minimizes labor requirements, enhancing operational efficiency.
