A total of 25 new test methods for drinking water were approved and issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) which span a wide range of areas such as residual chlorine, E.Coli, copper, arsenic, and total coliform. This article focuses on aspects of this EPA regulation and succinctly summarizes the test methods now employed for analyzing water samples as required under the Safe Drinking Water Act.
